Cache Creek: 12/6 - 4/8 Kill

Yeah, so a night after the 4/8 Superstar made his triumphant return to Cache, I ventured up by myself (degenerate gambler status) for some 4/8 action. The Superdonk would be joining me sometime later. So I didn't feel like a complete unsocial dreg of society.

I called a few friends from work and my other job (baseball instructor) to meet me up there as well. As I heard later from them, they all did pretty decent.

Anyways, on to the action. My session started off pretty slow as I dropped roughly a rack whiffing and having the older Mexi-Gambler with a cowboy hat call my raise w/ 32os and trip up on the river against my 99 in a kill pot. For the first hour or so I just shot the shit w/ Steve (guy who reminds me of Kyle Gass of Tenacious D fame) about O8 and other random things.

After that, I noticed that my table was getting pretty short in chips and I decided to call for a table change which worked out pretty well as there were a lot of gamblers and more money on the other table. I ran pretty well, after losing the first two pots I was in. Then this hand came up:

Hero in HJ w/ AKos.

UTG raises, called by 2 including SAG w/ sunglasses (I took lots of chips from him by the end of the night for his stupid aggro-donk plays, LOL), folded to me and I 3-bet, button calls as does everyone else.

Flop: 952 rainbow (swing and a miss)

Check to me, I fire, everyone calls.

Turn: K completing rainbow.

Checked to me, I fire, folds back to SAG w/ glasses and he tanks for a bit and announces raise. I insta-call, obv not giving him any respect whatsoever.

River: T

SAG bets, I call.

I show AK thinking it was no good expecting to hear a repugnant “Two Pair.” He shows K4os. <3 Live Poker.

In the following hours TFong showed up ended up playing for a good 8 hours deep into the night. After which he was hassled by a waitress funny story, you got to hear him tell it.

So yeah, like I mentioned earlier, that SAG w/ glasses tried to limp reraise me 3x through out the night. It just so happened that I had AA, KK, and QQ each time all which held in monster pots. Especially the KK hand where I flopped top set, and was called to the river by 4 people, and then boated up.

Stats:

12/6: TP: +$250 TSP: 5.5 Hrs

All in all pretty good night. Thx to TFong, Dave, and Steve for making it out.

Played Cache again on 12/12 w/ the 4/8 Superstar during the day for some Aces Cracked Action. Spoiler alert, I hit it twice!!! But would it be enough for me to post a winning session and fend off the various limit monkeys at Cache.

Good Nite Now!

Cache Creek: 11/22 - 4/8 Kill

What???

Cache Creek???? Really?

Yeah so I haven't played the Creek in like 5 months and now that gas in around $2/gal it is in reach.

Recap of how the day went:

2:00pm - Receive txt from TFong that he is down to play at Cap some time around 5.
5:00pm - Arrive at Cap still waiting for TFong and add both of us to list. 4 & 5 Respectively
5:45pm - TFong arrives and we still haven't moved on list
5:50pm - TFong and I decide that we should make a run to the Creek
6:50pm - Arrive at the Creek, this is where the story begins

So I sat in the 1 seat and had 2 racks brought, std. As the I was unracking my chips, I noticed some sort of switch like apparatus on the rail of the table. So I figured, fuck it, I might as well flip it and see what happens.

Turns out it was the GOD Mode switch and I ran like Usain Bolt.

It was a great night, held in every major pot, and had some sort of tri-level stack working. TFong and I were at the same table and basically were in awe of the difference of the Creek compared to Cap. It has been so long, the speed of the game at Cache is a little slower that at Cap, so the comfort level was a bit higher.

At the end of the night, I racked up $400 and change. Fwiw, I am still looking for one of those Santi-esque days of $600+.

Thx to TFong for persuading me to hit up the Creek.

In other news, I will be leaving West Sac, and moving into the Flood Plain of North Natomas. Bought a Bank-Owned House, foreclosures FTW!!!

Details to come, house warming party obv.

Capitol Casino: 11/14 - 4/8 Kill

11/14: TP: +$260 TSP: 6 Hrs

Don't really remember anything about this session except, I ran really well and held a bunch in some huge pots.

Still haven't gotten to spin the bad beat wheel yet, which I guess is a good thing. But I do love seeing the NL players, excuse me, NL shovetards walking over to the wheel in disgust to try and win back some of that money they just shipped with bottom pair, LOL.

In other news, Cap has some new TVs and will be getting 4 more tables starting in 2009, woot.

Vegas Recap 67-Meet (10/15-10/19)

So Vegas came and went again. It was a great time. Seeing random chumps get floored by some white trash people out side Mirage, getting check raised every hand by Deuce at the toughest 4/8 table ever known to man, the 72 game, Santi pwning Deuce w/ T7soooted, a drunk Maj explaining every hand he won in 1/2NL, Shabba calling a certain person who came to the last trip "rather cunty", and walking back from In-N-Out. Ah all good times.

On to the poker:

O8: +$50 (5 Hours played)
10/20: -$700 (8 Hours Played)
4/8: +$600 (12 Hours Played)

The trip basically went like this:

Days 1-3: Run awful, drop 700, eat lots as the Carnegie Deli
Days 4-5: Kill the 4/8 at Bellagio for $600, not eat as much at the Carnegie Deli

Maybe I shouldn't eat so much at the Deli, LOL.

Trip was a blast, I look forward to seeing the look on the poor tourists faces when they sit down at a table with: me, Santi, TFong, Deuce, Maj, Shabba, and Reb.

I won't be in attendance for the Poker 'n Porn CP Trip upcoming in January...Cabo FTW! I hopefully will be able to make it for CP3 in June.

Vegas Mindset: Upcoming Trip (Rounders: Getting People Amped)

Mindset for upcoming Las Vegas trip, LOL:

Hey listen, I put it on the line. It wasn’t a bad beat. I wasn’t unlucky. I got outplayed that time. But I know I am good enough to sit at that table. It’s not a fkn pipe dream.

I’ve never told anybody this, about eight, nine, weeks ago I am down at Capitol and its late. And I see Nik Santi walk in fresh off In-n-Out Burger. And he goes and sits 15/30, and ya know the whole place stops. ‘Nik Santi walks in’ everyone puts an eye on him.

I mean after a little while, there wasn’t a Pai Gow game going ‘cause all the Sick Azn Gamblers are over there watching. And some of them are sitting there playing with him, they’re giving away their money to the 15/30 superstar, just to say ‘Oooh, I played with the Santi.’

And you know what I did?

I sat down.

I would need about half to one grand to play right in that game. Well, I had $300.

But I had to know.

So this is what happened?

I played tight for an hour, I folded mostly. Then I made a score.

Aces or Kings?

Rags, I had 73 sooooted and the button, I had nothing.

But the Santi raised UTG, and was called by like 3 Azn gamblers, std. I just decided, you know, I have the button, and I don’t care about the money, I am just gonna outplay the this table, this hand. I re-raised.

So you played right back and the whole table, huh?

And the Santi comes right back over the top of me, trying to bully me like I am some fkn 4/8 donktard. The Azn gamblers fold, and I hesitate for like 2 seconds. I’ll re-raise.

The Santi makes a move for his checks and he looks at me, and then he makes a move toward his Coke, and then at his cards. And he looks at me again. And he mucked it, I took it down.

‘Did you have it?’

‘I’m sorry Nicholas, I don’t remember.’

I got up and walked to the cashier.

I sat with the best in Capitol, and I won.

I put a fkn move on the Santi, I am an SOB.

So that’s why I made all those runs to Mongolian BBQ/In-n-out/Pho.

And I’ll do it again if I am hungry, lol.

Basically, just up the aggression in the upcoming weeks.

Capitol Casino: 9/25 & 9/30 - 4/8 Kill

9/25: TP: +$100 TSP: 3 Hrs
9/30: TP: -$150 TSP: 3 Hrs

Continuing with the theme of September, up and down, up and down.

Ran decent one session, and then couldn't hold in another.

Nothing much else to report, I had the nut flush hold tonight on a double paired board. Ugg, I really wanted to spin.

We will see what October brings.

Vegas on the 15th w/ Nik, Shabba, Duece, and possibly the Superdonk.

-Cheers.

Capitol Casino: 9/12 & 9/18 - 4/8 Kill

To start some results:

9/12: TP: -$100 TSP: 6 Hrs
9/18: TP: +$120 TSP: 4 Hrs

Continuing with the theme of September, alternating sessions have been a loser and then a winner respectively.

I have done some reflecting on my play particularly in the losing sessions, and I found that I have become a tab bit less aggro, booo. Also, on that same note, I noticed that I may be folding my borderline playable hands from the SB against a raise and a caller. In particular hands like the J9s-QJs, and the KJos hands.

To remedy this, and to prepare for the upcoming Super Friends (Star, Donk, & Nit) Poker Classic, (also starring Duece, and Shabba), in Vegas I played a little more online and threw some chips around. Same thing with the last live 4/8 session that I played.

I won't really go into detail about the 9/12 session, I played bad, and I knew it. Basically I had to remember what the Superstar told me a long time ago, "If there is a question of 'should you raise?' the answer is always yes." So I re-adapted this mantra and told myself just to work on the aggro again.

So with this in place I hit the tables at Cap after the new Curry Beef Stir Fry Dish (+1 to the Capitol Kitchen), and adding Nik to the 9/18 list I was called of course to the Pai Gow room. As an aside, Cap has wheel spin in place now if you have Trip Tens or better beat (not including straights). There was a guy on my table that spun 2x in 10 min for a total profit of $550; too bad he probably gave at least half of it back that same night, LOL.

The first three hours were pretty lame have a couple hands hold in medium sized pots which floated me at or above even until I was moved into the main room to another 4/8table where I had trip dueces snapped off in a monster pot by another guy who hit his 6 kicker to fill up on the river. Fwiw, I had 72os in the BB, I run goooooot.

I didn't really get involved in a massive pot until I was moved to the Kill table with many familiar faces including Sue, Tina, Vo (Azn guy who hero called me down a few weeks ago, decent for Cap player), and antoher Filipino cat who is OK put seemed to piss me off for going running two pair vs. my over pair w/ J3os UTG mind you, w/e though.

The hand summary went ah-lika-ah dis:

Hero raises w/ KQos after 3 limpers, folded to Sue on the button who calls. Flop is Q-high with 2 diamonds (I have none), Flop is capped 5 ways, I bet the turn called by 3, but the diamond hits the river and Sue makes her flush w/ 96 of diamonds, oh well, that is std for live 4/8.

An orbit later:

Hero is dealt A9 of diamonds in mid position.
UTG, UTG+1, and the Guy immediately to my right limp in, Hero raises, Called by Sue in the SB, Tina in the BB, and everyone else.

Flop: T:d:4:d:8:s:

Sue leads out, Tina Raises, UTG, and UTG+1 call 2 cold, guy folds, Hero 3-bets, Sue Caps, and all call.

Turn: 5:s:

Sue leads, Tina, and everyone including Hero call.

River: 8:d: (boom)

Checked to Hero who bets, all call. Hero rakes.

That hand put me at about even for the night. It was getting late (for the Super-life-nit) so I told myself 1 more orbit when this hand came up:

Hero in MP w/ AQos, and Vo posted behind me.

Limped in 3 spots, Hero raises, called by Vo, the Button (Filipino guy), SB, BB and all limpers.

Flop: AxT:s:9:s:

Checked to BB who donks, called by limpers to Hero who raises, Vo insta-3bets, folded back to BB who caps, all call.

Turn: A:c:

Checked to hero (wtf?) who bets, called by everyone. Now I know I at least get a wheel spin if someone gets a goofy straight/flush/boat but w/e.

River: Q:d: (Glorious)

Checked to Hero who bets out, Vo folds, BB, and one other limper calls.

Hero shows Aces full of Queens and rakes. The BB claimed to have AJ but, yeah that was a bunch of crap so. I had 2 more hands, which folded; then confirmed Mongo Reservations with Nik for Friday (std) and then took off.

Thanks for reading.

On a unrelated note, if Tim Lincecum doesn't get the Cy Young this year the writers and voter need to be shot.

-That is all, out.

8/29 & 9/3 Capitol Casino: 4/8 Kill

So the last two sessions have been an up and a down. Last week I was on a sick heater to start the night; at one point I was up $440. But of course god mode went off and I ended the night up $260

The week prior was just bad game selelction and I dropped $220

In other news I won a home game tournament for $50 last Sunday. Also I took second in the weekly URS pick em pool for a modest win of a 3 x 3 Combo Animal Style obv (also known as $6) LOL.

I also made a horrendous play with TT last session that both the 15/30 Superstar and the Superdonk let me have it for.

Hopefully should make it down to Capitol tomorrow night or saturday for some low stakes action

Also next week the Casino Royale opens, hopefully they spread a 6/12 game for those of us who can't swing they 15/30

8/21: Capitol Casino - 4/8 Kill

4/8 Kill: TSP - 4.5hr. TP: +$260

Dam, Cap was jumping tonight. Lots of money in the room. When I rolled up, I noticed that they now spread a 5/10 blind NL game with a $1k max buy-in. It produced some sik, sik, action. I witnessed some $2500+ pots, truly shovetastic. They also had the 15/30 going not as the main game though.

Just as the Superstar and I were chatting earlier in the week regarding table manners and etiquette, i.e. me getting angry at players at the table; the exact thing that he mentioned happened.

Long story short:

Flopped a set of 2's in a 6 way pot, turned a boat, and then had a guy hit a higher boat on the river w/ 77, std.

Then 2 hands later (not really sure but it doesn't matter):

5 way, 3 bets preflop w/ KK on all unders board: J926, villain 2-outs with QQ on the river, and that sent any profit that I had (+120ish) at that point to even.

Until this hand comes up (God-Mode...For 1 hand at least)

Hero is UTG w/ K:d:K:h:

Hero raises, UTG+1 3-bets, all call to button who caps, blinds folds, Hero calls.

7-way capped preflop, sweet:

Flop: K:s: 6:h: 5:s:

6-way capped on the flop, to the turn.

Turn: 6:s: (BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!)

Best card in the deck.

Hero leads, UTG+1 Raises, 2 other call, I 3-bet, but apparently the dealer didn't hear me indicate raise and wanted me to take my chips back for "acting before another player's hand hit the muck." But fuck it his cards were over the line anyway. So I just called.

4 handed to the river,

River: J:s:

Even better for me. Now I know that the Q:s: and the A:s: are looking me up.

Hero bets, called by UTG, and someone in mid-position.

I show Kings for and rake in a monster, I 2-outered the guy (UTG+1, who rivered my 2's full hand) w/ A:d:A:s:. FWIW, the other caller had Q:d:Q:s:

Final tally: 14BB's preflop, 12BB's on the flop, 8BB's to the river, and 3BB's on the river = 37BB's, sweet! I <3 live poker!

And then of course, God-mode went off, and I ran normal and picked up some smallish pots, the left for the night.

Thoughts?

Might make it down to Cap again before we take off for Kings Canyon tomorrow, but we'll see.

GL to the Superdonk, and Superstar tomorrow and the upcoming weekend.

-Cheers

Las Vegas Trip Report: McCarran Airport

Well so Vegas has come and gone again... And this time wasn't as fruitful of trip as the last. Needless to say that I am still running bad.

Here are the irrevelent stats:

4/8: +120 TSP: 2hrs
8/16: -340 TSP: 2hrs (game broke on a Friday night at 8pm WTF?)
10/20: -300 TSP: 4 hrs (ran into some big hands and couldn't hit any draws)

Didn't get to play as much as expected, standard for trips with lots of people involved. But that is the way it goes sometimes.

Look for some hands on CP later in the week

Later.

8/7: The Wait...Off to Las Vegas

Well, all is quiet on the work front right now and the ETA for Las Vegas and sis's birthday celebration/poker trip is exactly 12 hours.

Look for periodic updates hopefully with some sessions of 8/16 & 10/20 and possibly some O8 sprinkled in for fun.

GL to the crew here in Sacramento this weekend at Capitol.

7/3: Capitol Casino - 15/30 (wtf?) and 4/8 Kill

What the hell? Yeah you read right. The Supernit played 15/30, but only for an hour, because I am the Supernit.

15/30: TSP - 1 hr. TP: -$100
4/8 Kill: TSP - 2.5hr. TP: +$100

Prior to talking about the short time of 15/30, the 4/8 Kill was cool, made some hands hold and ended up a rack from that; not anything of note to mention.

So yeah, in lieu of the 9/18 Kill game at Capitol, they have started spreading a 15/30 game which is hugely out of my bankroll. They only reason I played the 15/30 was because I was railing it, and I saw countless 4/8 plays. People coldcalling 2 bets with shit, playing uber loose, and just making horrible plays. I figured fuck it, why not put my name on the list it will never get called, Whoops. The wait at Capitol was horrendous, the 4/8 list was about 15+ deep and I didn't end up getting called until an hour of the 15/30 game.

So quick rundown of my experience:

-The 2/3 blind structure makes for looser completing requirements.
-The players were a tiny bit better, but not amazing, definitely noticeable
-Knew when to lay down Aces.

A quick HH:

Hero is UTG+2 w/ the black AA.

UTG open limps.
Folded to Hero, Hero raises.
Called by HJ, Button, both SB, BB and UTG.

Flop: 854 rainbow

SB checks, BB donks, UTG calls, Hero raises, folded back to BB who 3-bets, UTG calls, Hero caps all call.

Thoughts???

With the BB donking,I thought two pair, or even a set. The thing that really made me think. What was the UTG guy calling 2 bets cold back to him, crazy?

Turn: 6

Shit, that pretty much killed my hand. BB leads out, UTG calls, Hero folds.

River was a King.

Showdown went like this:

BB had 67 for the flopped nut straight, and UTG showed 57os for the turned gutty to tie.

That was all dirty, but gotta lay em down when you are beat.

So, when I get rolled, like in 2 years, I will be frequenting this game.

Hopefully, the 9/18 game will be running of Friday and I will get in about 5 hours.

And, this just in; my sister, (easy Nik), turns 21 in August and there is another trip to Las Vegas and the Mirage in the works.

-Out

7/5: Blog Neglect and Las Vegas Round 1

Well, where the hell have I been???? Its been a blur of the last 3-plus months. Here is a little update of what has happened in the life of the Supernit:

-Graduated w/ B.S. in Civil Engineering from CSU Sacramento (good bye to school)

-Started full time (pay raise woot) w/ URS (U Really Suck Engineering Inc.)

-Girlfriend (Vanessa) has now moved into our apartment

-Visited Las Vegas to meet the CP crew (ups to Duece, Pika, Shabba, Luske, and Eusebio all were chill cats)

Oh yeah....

Played lots of poker that I have neglected to blog about so here it goes.

For the months leading up to graduation, the Superstar and the Superdonk played countless sessions at Cache Creek and Capitol Casino. From every single session I found myself learning a ton about leaks in my game and spots where I need to be betting and taking down pots that no one wants.

On that same note, there were not that many things to note of from the sessions that I played in California. Las Vegas was a whole other ball game. The game in LV is, as the Santi said, a little softer than that of the casinos and cardrooms here in CA.

As was the plan, I stepped up to 10/20 all at the Mirage and found out the game is not any different from the 4/8 Kill that I usually play. It was a great experience, and I can't wait to go back soon.

All in all, the LV trip boasted a total profit of $430 from roughly 22 hours (mixed 4/8 half-kill, Omaha 8-or-Better, and 10/20) of play which payed for the trip and the nights out later in the week that Vanessa and I had.

-Cheers

Whatever the Session Numbers were for the Month of May

Well, I have been having a pretty good run up at Cache the past 4 sessions....

Excluding today.

Whiffed alot, got sucked out on a lot, whiffed some more, played pretty well in spite of everything, and dropped 2 racks.

Lots of good things to take away from this session, will blog it up later.

______________________________________

Yeah, so as I was saying, ran pretty atrocious, but that would be an understatement. It was more of running bad and cold at the same time; didn't play too many hands, and when I did, I could make them hold.

Short summary:

TT gets 3 outered on the River.
KK gets 3 outerend on River.
KK can't fade a flush draw and over card.
AA gets 2 outered by 66.
AK, AQ, AT, etc, whiffs every time.
Hit no flush draws, didn't flop and sets.
Saw AA (1), KK (3), QQ (1) TT (1) and 44 (1).
Got to lay down kings on all unders board on turn, boo (2 bets to me on turn)
Ran QQ in KK who limped in UTG.

So all in all pretty craptastic day. Oh well, we can't run Santi-like all the time.

Probably will see the creek on Thursday.

-Late.

Session No. 34 Capitol Casino (3/4)

4/8-Kill: TP = +$130 TSP = 4 Hrs

Got to play a little today, and let me just say that Cap was in extreme GAMBOOOOL Mode, at least at my second table. It was so great. My table had My Grandma, a younger black female, a couple younger Azn donktards, and Tina, the middle aged Latina woman who plays somewhat solid, and an older Filipino Donk.

Anyway, I really didn't run too great and had to hit the flop with some interesting cards. I saw TT once, and QQ once, AQos once, and AJ once.

TT<99 in 5 way capped preflop pot.
QQQJ>KK in 4 way pot, flopped trip Q's and rivered a boat.
K6s turns flush and 2 people call down.
85>99 rivered quads.
KQos gets there against flopped two pair by turning flush.

_______________________________________________________________

Ok I will post the more interesting hands that I lost first:

Last Hand I played:

Hero (Seat 8) is UTG and raises w/ QQ (clubs and diamonds), UTG+1 3bets, Seat 1 calls 3 cold hmmm, folds to SB who calls 2.5, and Sue calls 2 more, Hero Caps and all call. ($80)

Flop: Ts 9s 6s (Ugg not really a good flop for QQ but what the hell right)

Checks to Hero, who bets out, UTG+1 calls, Seat 1 Raises, SB calls 2 cold, as does Sue, Hero calls (right play does anyone 3bet????), UTG+1 Calls. ($120)

Turn: 9c

All check to Seat 1 who bets, SB calls, Sue calls, Hero calls (comments), UTG+1 calls.

River: 6h (Fuck)

I was planning on making a crying call on the river due to the pot size but that just got shot to hell.

SB checks, Sue bets out, shit I am way beat even more that before, UTG+1 Folds, Seat 1 Calls, and SB calls.

Showdown:

Seat 1- K3 of spades flopped flush
Sue has 86os for 6's full of 9's
SB takes it w/ 98os for 9's full.

Wow, gambooooool!!!!

Hand 2:

Hero is in SB w/ TT

Folded to Filipino Donk (Seat 3) in MP who raises, Seat 4 calls, Seat 5 3bets, folds to hero who caps it, BB calls, and all others call.

Flop: 9 5 2 rainbow (Good I think)

Hero leads out, BB folds, Seat 3 raises, Seat 4 folds, Seat 5 calls, Hero just calls (knew I should have capped it fuck)

Turn: A

I figure to donk bet and get the other 2 people at the table out of the hand and for that fact that the Filipino Donk had 9 chips in front of him. Well that doesn't work, he goes all in for 9 and then Seat 5 calls also.

River: 3

Bleh, Hero check and all check:

Showdown:

Hero Show TT
Seat 5 mucks
Filipino guys shows 99 for a set.

Oh well, should have 3 bet the flop for sure now in retrospect.

Here is my favorite hand of the night:

Earlier on CP the Santi and I had a little convo about raising with suited connectors well here it goes:

Hero is in Hi-Jack w/ 67 of clubs:

Were are 7 handed at this point.

UTG limps, Sue limps, Black female limps, Hero raises (thats right), CO calls and button folds, SB calls as does the BB, Sue and the Black female.

Flop: Q:c: 9:c: 3:c: (Boooom!!!!)

Checked to Hero who bets and CO calls, BB calls, and Sue calls.

Turn: K:d:

Check to Hero who bets, and same story. Don't put up another club.

River: A:s:

Sweet, Checked to Hero who fires again, and all fold giving me a nice pot.

This was a little better situation than the 98s hand that I raised with on Saturday for couple reasons: 1- Position 2- the players behind me were very passive and I could try to at least get position on the table to be able to check behind if a couple face cards hit the board.

Well, it was a good short session.

In other news my new bed arrives in a couple days, California King FTW!!!!!!

GL to the Superstar and Superdonk at Club CC on Thursday.

-Good Nite Now.

Session No. 33 Capitol Casino (2/22 & 2/23)

4/8-Kill: TP = +$200 TSP = 10 Hrs

Well at the Superstar's request I am updating. I am just busy with graduating and having no luck putting off becoming an adult. Adulthood = Bad. With Graduation a short 3 months away I gotta get in some awesomeness before life officially starts (to suck).

College = Great :-)

But I digress... After a No. 1 and No. 2 Animal Style at the new In-N-Out the Santi and I figured there was nothing better to do than play some cards in the afternoon on a Friday, and we headed down to Cap and were seated at about 2:30 and minimal waiting time.

I was quickly off to an ospicious start running decent hands into the nuts and calling down. And whiffing some overs, and having no draws hit.

Here is a hand where I thought played badly:

Hero in in Hi-Jack w/ AsTs

UTG limps, someone in MP limps, Hero Raises, Button folds, SB calls, BB calls, and rest call.

Flop: A Q J Rainbow

Checked to Hero who bets, SB folds, BB raises (2 pair?), UTG folds, MP calls (put him on weak ace), Hero calls.

Turn: J

BB leads, UTG folds (wtf???? 99 maybe), Hero Calls (I figured that if he had the straight, I can tie/win with 6 cards, weak move pretty much committed myself to calling the river)

River: 3 bah

BB bets, Hero Calls.

BB tables KTos. Hero mucks. Oh well should have laid it down on the turn. Didn't really have a read on the guy so far, he seemed to play tighter than most at Cap.

After that I lost some kill pots w/ AK twice, and AJ once. Before I knew it I was reaching for the 3rd hundred in the wallet, and an orbit or so later this hand happened:

Hero UTG w/ 99 (getting no raises respected at this point sweet!! <3 Live Players)

Hero raises, called by someone in MP, and CO, SB calls, and BB calls (5 to the flop)

Flop: 9 6 5 rainbow

Checked to Hero who bets, called by MP, and CO, SB folds, BB calls. (great I gotta fade some straight draws)

Turn: 4 (Ugly card, 2 flush in diamonds out also)

Checks to Hero, who bets, MP folds, CO raises, BB folds, Hero calls. (Shit, 1 time pair the board)

River: 4 Booooooom!!!

Now I gotta Donkbet so I can at least get 1 more bet from some guy overplaying his 2 pair, or straight.

So Hero donkbets, CO pauses and says "Raise", Ha Ha!!! 3-Bet FTW. CO calls.

I hear Santi go, " 9's full FTW " Yup.

CO shows 87os for the flopped straight. Gotta love when your UTG raises are called by offsuit connectors :-)

I rake in a healthy pot, and then proceed to make 99 a winner over KK with a straight flush against an all-in Reggie Jackson looking Filipino man who ran absolutely horrible the entire day. Then rivered the nut straight in a medium pot, and had a couple 2 pair hands w/ 97s and A6s not got to showdown and I found myself up close to 120 after being down almost 300.

Then this hand occured where I went into life nit mode:

Hero is OTB w/ KsQs.

1 limper, Santi Raises from Hi-Jack, CO calls, Hero calls, SB folds, BB calls, and limper calls.

Flop: Q T (rag)

Checked to the Santi who bets out, CO folds, Hero raises, BB folds, limper folds, Santi 3-bets, Hero calls. (At this point, I think I might have the same hand as Nik, but unlikely, He most likely has AA-KK, AQ, or TT)

Turn: 7

Santi bets, Hero folds. Later he tells me he had AQ, I should have been able to showdown top pair their, but hey I am the Super-Nit.

Had another hand against the Disabled guy in the wheel chair where I had AK in a kill pot flopped an Ace and bet flop but not the turn cause flush got there. Same thing happened when I flopped a King w/ KTos from the SB and flush and straight got there on the turn so I didn't bet, and it was heads up. Live and learn/bet.

After finding trips on the river against the Superstar, we decided to call it a night and I left up $140, and Nik just didn't run good at all and dropped a little bit.

About 24 hours later, bored and recovering from getting hammered w/ the lovely Vanessa, Mike and Shawn the night before, I hit up the SuperDonk to see if he was interested in a little Capitol action.

Dam the waiting time at Capitol on a Saturday night, it sucks!!! I got there about 8 and proceeded to read War and Peace, eat a club sandwich, call Alycia, solve world hunger, and hate waiting more.

Didn't get seated until 10:15 or so atrocious 2+ hours of waiting?????

After hearing from the SD, he mentioned he was gonna be late and didn't show up until 12:30 or so , but oh well.

Played pretty standard most of the night (4 hrs 10:15-2:15) and even got some flushes to hold only a couple hands of note.

As side from the fact that there was a guy on the SD's table who had 1600 in chips. Are you shitting me???? NO! This guy had a sick rush, every hand he was in he won. His wife was 2 seats on my left she was LAGGY as shit but hit every dam hand, couldn't believe it.

Here is a good hand:

Hero is in BB w/ Qc2c.

5 see the flop including (Sue a.k.a My Grandma a.k.a "Queen High Ship It")

Long story short:

I flop frush, turn gives Sue Top Pair Nut frush draw, I raise turn, 2 people call down!

Nice.

Well, I am out.

Might, and I say Might play Friday w/ El Santi.

I really learned a ton a Capitol the other night and will blog about that later.

So here is you dam blog update superstar; stay tuned for something later about the AQ of spades hand, and the Red Aces hand as well as me continually getting into it with other players at the table.

Session No. 28 & No.29/30 Cache Creek and Capitol Casino (1/30 & 2/1)

4/8-Kill: TP (at both Places = -$100 TSP = 9 Hrs

Boooo. I am in a little bit of a down swing at the moment, looking to make the month a lot better than the atrocious month on January.

Any way, not anything to big to report except:

In both sessions I ran Kings into Aces, nice.

Got 3bet by 36os, T6os, and an assortment of other random crap that of course hit.

I am just waiting to run better. I know that I am not playing badly, just running bad.

I did get to hit a pretty sick 2 outer today at Capitol HH to come later.

Session No. 28 Capitol Casino (1/26)

4/8-Kill: TP = +$60 TSP = 5 Hrs

Got up to $140 at about the 4th hour mark it was a little better day even for Capitol.

My table was pretty loose and mildly aggressive. Flopped a couple of sets and they held. Had a couple of boats, and a few straights.

Not too much to really blog about.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I got into it with some Momma when she donk bet into me. Things were said, and more things were said. Basically went like this.

I ended up pointing out that she donk bet, and then she questioned my raise etc., and then she said that I play bad and show go play no limit as, I was up $140 at the time, I could care less.

It was great she thought that she was good, and I saw her limp 54os UTG and cold call a couple raises with such stupendous holdings as K6s and T7os. But, what do I know, I am a bad player.

See you all at the Creek at about 2:30 on Wednesday.

Session No. 27 Cache Creek (1/23)

4/8-Kill: TP = -$40 TSP = 6.5 Hrs

Very slow swingy day at the Creek. Got there at about 5:15 and was seated shortly after.

I proceeded to go on a mini heater where I only played 5 hands before our table broke and I was moved to the SD's table.

I ran down a boat on a guy who had bottom two, and I turned top two, and rivered the boat. Then two hands later I got aces cracked in a kill pot.

After that it was just slow, didn't have any hands of note, just didn't run to terribly well.

Ended up down 40, not much to say. Just missed a couple 15 outers and on 4 OESD's, but that is poker.

Session No. 26 Cache Creek (1/10)

4/8-Kill: TP = -$230 TSP = 5 Hrs

Ran atrociously, not even cool, I suck at life.

Lets see where to start, I was reviewing my play along with the Superstar, and I didn’t play bad except in 1 spot. Other than that I just got unluckly and couldn’t get a hand to hold.

Here is a little run down of the hands.

AK soooted < KQ: Flopped TPTK, and got in a raise on the flop, Momma turn is a Q and donk bets into me, I call down.

KQ soooted < AT: Flopped top two (board K Q T), flop was capped w/ “Queen High Ship It”, turn A, got to check it down cause I mentioned that I got her beat.

KK < A4s in Kill Pot: Villain Random Asian Gambler (RAG) turned nut flush and didn’t raise.

And my personal favorite-

Dominic (ooh, Middle Aged Persian Man, who called me eh-Scrooge, and hates me) Got involved in a hand along with another person)

Here is the hand:

Hero is in BB w/ T3 of spades, Dominic is UTG. 4 to the flop.

Flop: T 3 2 (2 hearts) Sweet

SB Checks, Hero bets, Dominic Raises, everyone folds to Hero, Hero 3 bets, Dominic Caps.

At this point I am either way ahead or way behind, and I feel that he has a vulnerable hand, maybe a draw, or even a huge hands like a set of deuces.

Turn: K

Hero checks, Dominic bets, Hero calls. (I ask, “Do you have a set?” Knowing very well that he doesn’t have tens, or a set of threes (very unlikely)

River: 2 of Hearts

Hero checks, Dominic bets, Hero calls.

Dominic immediately says, “Full House.” Like an asshole, I figured to set pocket 3’s but of course, what do you think he had…

Exactly T2 sooooted FTW, nice 2-outer fuckboy. Wow I wish I could limp T2 UTG like that, but hey I play bad.

Its okay though, the Superstar got him back in a Kill Pot. Can you say, “Captain 1-Outer”?

It was so sick. Dominic flopped a full house, got in a raise on the turn, and the Superstar rivers quads. HA HA HA!!!

But yeah, I can’t run good all the time, that is poker.

The hand I played bad was where the SD raised UTG w/ AT, folded to me, w/ QQ I 3-bet, Xue (Sue) Caps. All call, and the flop was TT4.
We capped the flop, all call down. Whoops. Should have folded the turn. The SD only has 1 hand here, he isn’t check raising the flop at that with out a ten.

In other news, I moved out, WOOOT!, won’t probably be playing this week, maybe Saturday downtown w/ the Superstar but that is about it.

Apartments rule.

Session No. 25 Cache Creek (1/1)

4/8-Kill: TP = $25 TSP = 5 Hrs

Happy 2008!!!

GG to the Superdonk who came up $270 or so. I run so bad... I run so bad. Must be tough when you have the nuts and the 2nd nuts wants to cap every street with you. Ha Ha Ha. Nice work T.

Ugggggggggggggggggggggg. Not too much to talk about, was pretty card dead the entire session and only played 11 hands out of the blinds or so "Life Nit". It was bad really. Was up 70 at one point and then I missed w/ some over and the didn't have any of my pairs hold. Oh well.

Thanks to the Superstar for Panda, which is horrible by the way. Now it is Pick up Stix FTW!!!!

In other news, I "Fendered" my way to talking 2nd in the CP Forum Olympics Event No. 8 a 6-Max NL Freezeout for $40. I had two fairly sick hands; a 3 outers in the first level, and a 2 outers when I already was ITM.

AT > AK soooooted
66 > 77 sorry Cas.

And then I went busto heads up when my A7 < Cas's K7 sooooted both flopped a 7, and he rivered the K. Oh well, I a huge NL donk but it was fun.

Maybe the Creek tonight w/ JP, the Superstar, and the Superdonk but who knows depending on the weather.
